A chance of showers, then a fine-looking weekend

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- We should expect a chance of showers mainly before 10 a.m. on this Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

The rain shouldn't amount to much, less than one-tenth of an inch, the weather service estimates.

Otherwise, we can expect a mostly cloudy day with a high near 68 degrees, the weather service says. The wind will blow from the southwest at 7 to 10 mph.

The weekend looks fine, with sunny skies and a high of 69 degrees Saturday, although the north-northwest winds could gust up to 29 p.m. On Sunday, we should see sunny skies with a high near 74 degrees.
