Keywords:PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A recent poll suggests that Rhode Island voters are angry and they're taking it out on their elected officials.
The poll conducted by WPRI-TV Channel 12, is being released in parts. More will be available this evening; projo.com will publish results on the 7to7newsblog after 6 p.m.
Poll results reported by the television station Thursday night show that just 33 percent of Rhode Islanders rated U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse's performance as excellent or good, while 54 percent gave U.S. Sen. Jack Reed favorable readings.
The poll found that nearly 6 in 10 registered voters in the First Congressional District would consider another candidate or vote to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick J. Kennedy.
Just 44 percent of Second Congressional District voters approved of U.S. Rep. James R. Langevin's performance.
