Reed speaks on health-care bill at 2:30 p.m.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Sen. Jack Reed, a member of the U.S. Senate's Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, will deliver a speech from the Senate floor about 2:30 p.m. in which he will urge swift passage of the health-insurance bill, his office says in a news release...Reed also will give his view of what the bill will mean for Rhode Island.

The speech will be televised on CSPAN-2, and streamed live on the Web.
