Carcieri says $36M pay-cut plan on track

PROVIDENCE – Gov. Donald L. Carcieri said late Tuesday his administration is succeeding with its plan to shave $36 million from the state budget through wage cuts and the six-month postponement of a raise scheduled for next July.
